Project Summary: Miromatrix is working to create a new source of kidney grafts for thousands of patients suffering from kidney failure who are wait-listed for transplantation. Through patented perfusion decellularization and recellularization technology, we are able to engineer new kidney grafts that combine pig-derived scaffolds with human kidney cells. The goal of this project is to design and develop a prototype perfusion system to test function in our bioengineered kidney grafts.
